Moschino- Cheap and chic was the name of this line (after my own heart), and Oh my G-ness. Was it a yummy array of colors!
I wanted to start my first “real entry” with something energetic and vibrant, because when I watched this show, I felt it. Now I must say, that obviously I’m not inclined to start wearing an assault of colors, because hell, I’m quite positive, that most of these looks can only be pulled off on the catwalk. But the catwalk is the window to all upcoming trends (and I sometimes feel the window to my soul), so here are my thoughts.
I love the modern twist on the classic 50’s dress. Prints- Gorgeous! How can you go wrong with that bubbly blue? The fabrics are breathable, light and in the case of the shirts, bang on trend- slightly sheer. And the shoes, its like Summer itself is wrapped around their ankles. The high-waisted cargo style shorts and skirts are also another trend to look out for this season. And of course- I must also comment on the hair, messy chic. I do love it.
So anyway to sum up, here are the tips I got, à la Moschino:
- COLOUR- go vibrant! Bright blue, tangerines, yellows, greens-whatever you like- it’s Summer!
- PRINTS- Mix it up! Matching prints, are soooo last century J
- ACCESORIZE- add a funky blue or pink belt (even if you wearing orange) or even better a gorgeous pair of bright shoes!
- GO FOR BRIGHT LIPS-remember whatever works best for your skin tone
Always chic, always inspired.
